Dara is a Marylander by heart, though not by birth. She grows vegetables, herbs, fruit, native plants, bees, and chickens in her suburban backyard. She is passionate about growing food crops in soil and hydroponics. She believes growing your own vegetables makes you eat more vegetables!
Garden Fact: In the ongoing struggle with her nemesis, squash borers, she spent a summer injecting zucchini stems with Bt. It was not successful.
