Barbara grew up in New Jersey, the Garden State, where the soil is rich in loam and almost
anything grows. There she gardened with her father, supplying fresh herbs to neighbors.
Since moving to Montgomery County 35 years ago, she has always had a vegetable garden but is still learning how to grow in Maryland. Her goal in retirement is to use her gardening skills to help others. HarvestShare provides the perfect opportunity to do so.
