Seeds are started in March and April.
You can start seeds for any summer vegetable or herb. Some great choices are peppers, tomatoes, eggplant, cucumber and squash. Herbs, like basil, cilantro and chives, are also welcomed.
Here’s what we need:
- Each plant should be in an individual container and labeled.
- Plants should be hardened off (have been acclimated to outside light and temperature) and be large and hearty enough to survive transport and transplanting.
- The “ready by” date should be around the first week in May
